PlanMaker will not automatically put the selected cells into the SUM formula brackets, when you already have selected =E4:E5 in the target cell.
You have to choose Method 1 or Method 2 to have the desired cells into the SUM brackets in this way =SUM(E4:E5):

When you only have the group Spelling on the Review tab, it sounds like you are using FreeOffice instead of SoftMaker NX.
(Or you are using the old settings from FreeOffice).
Maybe you should do this:
- Close TextMaker
- Rename your Settings folder for SoftMaker\Settings in your Documents folder ...

It's now on the "Appearance" tab, and yes, the “Edit” tab is no longer existent in options since 2024.

Strange, in my case the file was opened by FlexiPDF after pressing OK on the password required message.

The feature for creating QR codes is not included in SoftMaker FreeOffice.

You can see a list of these compatibilty options, when you click on the "Compatibilty" button on the View tab, but as the manual states, it is not recommended to change these options.

Concerning the item, that your interface language was not changed (I cannot imagine, that it does not):
In the File | Options dialog box in PlanMaker, please ensure, that you change the Dialog language on the Appearance tab.
The language on the Language tab is meant for Spell check.
