I don't have any problems opening documents. The problem is printing. Newly created documents will not print. so I do not understand the reply.

I tried that but no change. Renamed a couple of times.
PDF Expert is version 3,11,2. in case that matters, Mac running Ventura 13,7,8.

I just did that. The files I sent will not print, generates the error message I reported.
Here it is again.

I cannot print newly created documents (or save as PDF). Old documents print without problem.
The message in both cases reads:
Postscript/PDF creation failed. Error 58.

Is there a way to cure this? I have tried reinstalling and have the latest update installed. I have tried changing fonts, no ...

I have tried two:
1) Ribbon at top of screen (File,Edit, View)
File/Open
Softmaker/Textmaker 2021 templates/English US/Normal A4

2) Home
New/Default (Normal A4)

In each tried edit the blank document via Edit/Paragraph and Edit/Paragraph Style

I want to change the default settings for font size, line spacing, and hyphenation in the templates A4 and Normal. I have followed the instructions for making the changes in the Windows version, but the changes do not stick. How is this done for Mac 2021?

I now think it is not TextMaker, but an effect created by the PDF program. I have experimented with several and found the effect appeared only with PDFExpert. It does not show up with Adobe products or some other PDF readers.

When I export to PDF, the footnotes in the PDF document are highlighted. How do I turn this off? I have looked through the settings in Export to PDF, Preferences.
