I asked because I already experienced the opposite with other software and other association as follows. - Application X v1 is associated to .xyz extension - I install application X v2 also associated to .xyz extension - I uninstall X v1 and application X v2 is no longer associated to .xyz Will try ...

Does it keep the associations ok. I mean .docx remain associated to Office 2018, etc. ? Thanks !
