Trial requesting product key

Downloaded SM Office 2018 trial. When I try to open program I get message "This product key is for a different product. Please enter a product key that is valid for this product". Only choice is "retry" or "cancel". No way to proceed. I would like to trial the software and potentially purchase it. What should I do?

You are trying to run the trial/full version with a beta product key. That doesn't work.

Simply leave the field for the product key empty to start the trial.

I'm confused. I thought those of us who downloaded the Beta version would be allowed to continue its use after the introduction of the finished product. Not so, I guess.

The beta test has ended, and the beta version can no longer be used. Betas are always time-limited.

To help you over the next 30 days, we have replaced the beta with the trial version which can be used fully for 30 days. Just leave the product key empty to start the trial.

Thanks. I liked the beta but will stick with 2016 for now. It still works well for me.

I accidently downloaded this a second time-anyway-so NOW it says I have to give a code when I try to open a file that I already had on my desk top. HELP!
I tried to enter the only code I have, and it's for an older version it says.

Leave it empty to start the trial, as is said in the dialog

Post a screenshot. It doesn't make sense because then it should simply ask if you want to start a trial.
