Uninstalling SMO 2016

Just upgraded to 2018 and after install I noticed that the installation did not remove my SMO 2016. Can I just uninstall it without something happens to my 2018

We don't uninstall 2016 because some users might like to keep it, at least in the transition phase. But you can safely uninstall it without affecting SoftMaker Office 2018.

Does it keep the associations ok. I mean .docx remain associated to Office 2018, etc. ? Thanks !

Yes, because when you installed 2018 you probably associated those extensions with 2018.

I asked because I already experienced the opposite with other software and other association as follows.
- Application X v1 is associated to .xyz extension
- I install application X v2 also associated to .xyz extension
- I uninstall X v1 and application X v2 is no longer associated to .xyz

Will try anyway and let the forum know...
