Relative position cossref points the wrong way

Yes, I too found it corrected itself. However, please note, I am fairly sure it was incorrect from the moment I set it. It must have assessed the direction from some recent text positions, not the one at the moment of setting it.

Subroutine/function call needed on setting this pointer before computing the direction.
