Cell Format Character

Post by louyo »

I want to put 1-4 in a cell. When I enter it and select character or Ctrl-2, it still enters it as a date. I also tried highlighting the whole column and tried setting it for character.
I updated to latest today. Not sure if it has always done this. I am running in Debian 12.5. Hopefully, it is short circuit between the headphones.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you "select character or Ctrl-2, it still enters it as a date." I just tested it in PlanMaker for Windows and it works properly. The way it works is that BEFORE entering data, highlight the cells you want to enter that data style in, right click on any of the highlighted cells, and select "Cell." From the pop-up, select Number Format and set it to 'Text."

You need to press Ctrl+1 to change the cell formatting. Ctrl+2 just pulls up the dialog box for character formatting.

You can also put single quote (') before 1-4 and then PlanMaker will not convert '1-4 to date.
