I can read my presentation on the laptop.

Post by WilhelmusB »

The title is my presentation that can be read on the laptop. When I connect the laptop to our TV using HDMI, I get the same image on the TV as on the laptop.
I create my presentation using two screens: the laptop and a monitor connected via HDMI cable. On the monitor, I click on the presentation and view my work. The presentation appears on the laptop screen. The monitor now shows four different screens.

The slide from the presentation, the next slide, the text I can use to read aloud, and a line at the bottom with all the slides.
It's the perfect solution for presenting.
Why can't I get those four screens on my laptop? I can't get any further than the same images appearing on both the TV and the laptop. What's going wrong?

Thank you for reporting this issue. Based on your description, I understand your monitor is set as the primary display, while your laptop serves as the secondary. To direct the slideshow to your monitor, please follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the Slide Show tab in the ribbon
  2. In the Display group, select 'Primary' from the Display dropdown menu
  3. Start your slideshow
Note: During the first setup, you may need to manually drag the Presenter View window (the interface you referred to as 'four different screens') from your monitor to your laptop. The system should remember this preference for future sessions.
