Bought Softmaker Office a while ago and tried out Planmaker for the first time today. I immediately ran into a bug which makes the program very difficult to use.
When I click on a cell with a formula in it, the formula will show up in the "input box" (?) above the worksheet and below the menu ribbon. When I click on the formula in this input box, a blinking cursor shows up. All good.
But now when I scroll down in the worksheet, the cursor disappears. After scrolling, even if click again on the formula in the input box, the cursor does not show up. The cursor still seems to exist as I can type in the box just fine or move the cursor around by clicking or using the left / right arrow keys. But the cursor is completely invisible, which makes it very difficult to edit the formula.
Win11 pro, SoftMaker Office 2024.

Try double clicking on the cell you wish to edit in place.bugmaker wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 5:13 pm But now when I scroll down in the worksheet, the cursor disappears. Re: Cursor invisible in formula input box
Whether I have single or double clicked the cell does not seem to make a difference. Scrolling with the cursor in the formula box seems to be what triggers it.
I use Nvidia driver version 591.86, which should be new enough and is the newest windows update offers, I will not experiment with even newer drivers right now. I have attached the requested information. Some personal information was redacted from the sminfo file.

Re: Cursor invisible in formula input box
Thank you for sharing the screen recording.
This is the "Text Select" cursor, which is controlled by the Windows operating system, not by SoftMaker Office.
It seems this issue may be caused by a recent Windows update. Please try operating system‑related troubleshooting.
You may try the following steps (based on the published solution):
1. Press Windows + R, type main.cpl, and press Enter.
2. In the Mouse Properties window, go to the Pointers tab.
3. In the "Customize" list, scroll down and select Text Select.
4. Click the Browse button.
5. In the list of cursors, select beam_r and click Open.
6. Click Apply and then OK to save the change.
Let us know if this resolves the issue.

Re: Cursor invisible in formula input box
The behavior remains the same even after following those steps.
Re: Cursor invisible in formula input box
As I mentioned before, this is a Windows‑related issue, and you will need to perform operating system troubleshooting.
